About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and supervise execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan
  • Conduct systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment
  • Define corrective actions and generate improvement opportunities
  • Provide hands-on technical support to emergency crews and staff areas
  • Support Engineering in researching and assessing equipment and starting up new equipment
  • Ensure application of health, safety and environment standards and practices
  • Report incidents and observations, perform inspections, participate in investigations, and implement preventive/corrective actions
  • Maintain risk analysis and environmental aspect assessments
  • Manage performance of direct reports through CBA and annual performance reviews
  • Define maintenance strategies for systems and optimize equipment reliability and maintainability
  • Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster engagement, communication, and assess work-process effectiveness
  • Prepare maintenance cost budgets and control costs within agreed limits
  • Ensure technical resource availability and suitable minimum stock
  • Manage and update the maintenance information system and technical documentation
  • Interact autonomously with internal and external contacts
  • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, management standards, laws, and regulations
  • Motivate, coach, communicate with, and develop staff; manage HR activities
  • Protect facilities, equipment, and physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse
  • Oversee maintenance of finishing and hot rolling mill machinery, hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and related equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years experience in Industrial maintenance, trades work or hands-on engineering technician is an asset
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures
  • Previous experience with PLC, VFD, AC/DC motors, sensors and High Frequency heating equipment is considered an asset
  • Previous experience with SAP PM considered an asset
  • 8hr day schedule with flexibility based on business needs
  • On-call rotation
  • Work in a steel manufacturing mill
