About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support training needs assessments for technical and leadership training across Canadian facilities
- Understand technical content and collaborate with internal clients
- Identify training requirements based on individual development plans
- Monitor compliance with technical and managerial training requirements
- Coordinate implementation of the Annual Training Plan across Canadian locations
- Assist with special training projects and campaigns
- Implement technical training programs for shop floor employees across Canada
- Research, develop, and implement regional training materials and programs
- Select appropriate training providers and internal instructors
- Coordinate training event logistics
- Maintain and manage training records
- Define targets and prepare reports based on training records, assigned training, training index, and other targets
- Evaluate performance, competency, and progress toward goals
- Prepare for and participate in internal and regulatory audits
- Implement corrective actions related to industrial training
- Define training-department process improvements and apply global policies and procedures
- Manage tuition reimbursement, fixed expenses, training reports, continuous education grants, purchasing, and payment processes
- Prepare reports for internal management and corporate decision-making
- Evaluate training activities and measure personnel performance and program benefits
- Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, management standards, laws, and regulations
- Protect facilities, equipment, and other physical resources assigned to the area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Science or Engineering
- 1–5 years of experience in a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret training data, monitor key performance indicators, and provide meaningful stakeholder insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience preparing reports, tracking metrics, and managing large datasets
- Ability to understand technical concepts
- Ability to collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams
- Educational exposure to technical, industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environments preferred
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, steel, energy, or oil and gas environments considered a strong asset
- Standard 8-hour workday, 40-hour week, Monday–Friday
- Willingness to travel frequently within Alberta between Tenaris locations
