About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently perform monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and VAT reporting across multiple group entities
- Manage revenue reconciliations and deferrals related to customer contracts and subscription invoicing
- Own invoicing, customer payments, reminders, and collections
- Handle bookkeeping, supplier invoices, payments, expenses, payroll support, and intercompany transactions
- Support year-end closings, annual reports, and audits together with the CFO
- Improve and document accounting routines
- Develop scalable accounting workflows and processes
- Explore how automation and AI can make finance processes more efficient
- Work closely with the CFO and collaborate with system owners and specialists
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid practical experience with Swedish bookkeeping, VAT, reconciliations, and monthly closings
- Experience independently managing accounting for one or several Swedish companies, from day-to-day transactions through monthly closing
- Comfortable working directly in accounting systems and handling accounting tasks
- Fluent in English and proficient in Swedish
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English
- Independent and proactive, with ownership of work and ability to complete tasks autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and explain discrepancies
- Adaptable and growth mindset in a fast-paced environment
- Curious about technology and eager to explore AI and automation
- Strong systems proficiency and understanding of API integrations
- Comfortable creating scalable processes without established procedures
- Nice to have: Experience with Fortnox
- Nice to have: Experience preparing year-end accounts and annual reports
- Nice to have: Experience with SaaS, subscription billing, or revenue deferrals
- Nice to have: Experience improving accounting processes or implementing automation
- Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Sweden
