About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure-as-code for repeatable and secure cloud deployments
  • Build, maintain, and refactor CI/CD pipelines to accelerate feature delivery, minimize risk, and reduce technical debt
  • Configure and manage observability tools, dashboards, and proactive alerting
  • Respond to production issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to incident postmortems
  • Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure design with application requirements
  • Document technical designs, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in sprint planning and advocate for automation opportunities
  • Design, provision, and maintain core cloud network topologies
  • Troubleshoot connectivity across multi-environment setups
  • Enhance secrets management and access controls, and audit IAM roles and policies for least-privilege access
  • Improve visibility into cloud resource utilization and cost

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
  • Track record of identifying automation gaps, recommending IaC improvements, and troubleshooting multi-environment or hybrid setups
  • Proficiency in modern IaC and orchestration tools, such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  • Experience managing core cloud network topologies
  • Solid experience with CI/CD systems, such as GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD
  • Strong scripting skills, such as Python and Bash
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana
  • Experience managing secrets and access using AWS Secrets Manager, Vault, or SSM
  • Strong understanding of cloud IAM roles and least-privilege enforcement
  • Clear communication of infrastructure requirements, risks, and opportunities
  • Ability to partner effectively with developers and IT
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related technical field
