About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead implementation of large-scale frontend features with minimal oversight
  • Design reusable architecture patterns and contribute to shared tooling and design systems
  • Identify and resolve systemic performance bottlenecks and accessibility issues
  • Mentor associate and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and pair programming
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and design teams to clarify requirements and align UI implementation with product strategy
  • Influence roadmap priorities through technical feasibility insights and proactive risk mitigation
  • Build interactive 2D/WebGL frontends using Pixi.js and optimize performance via Web Workers
  • Integrate AI developer workflows and AI capabilities into front-end applications
  • Optimize applications using code splitting, lazy loading, performance profiling tools, and CI/CD testing frameworks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years (or equivalent demonstrated depth) of experience in front-end software engineering
  • Deep technical expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end architectural patterns
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Vitest, Jest, and React Testing Library
  • Experience with modern build tools/bundlers such as Vite and Webpack
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AI developer workflows
  • Hands-on experience building interactive 2D/WebGL frontends using Pixi.js
  • Experience optimizing browser performance via Web Workers and profiling tools
  • Proven track record of mentoring junior and mid-level developers and driving architecture reviews
  • Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards, system-level performance optimization, and design system engineering
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build consensus and refine user flows
  • Ability to align front-end technical strategy with business goals, deconstruct complex features into iterative components, and mitigate technical debt
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field
