About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deploy an agent into daily use inside a client’s finance team within the first two quarters
- Design data flows across client systems, determining ownership, truth sources, timing and handoffs
- Define which workflow tasks AI agents perform independently, which require human confirmation and which require escalation
- Standardize finance processes while preserving justified exceptions
- Reduce the delay between upstream events and finance awareness
- Decide whether client-specific workflows are bespoke, configurable or core product
- Gather requirements from controllers, AR and AP leads, billing and collections teams
- Create process maps and write product specifications and flows for engineers
- Stay close to implementation and answer engineering questions quickly
- Build working client prototypes using AI tools
- Own relationships with client finance leads
- Work through disputes, rate differences, short payments, late charges, credits and partial settlements
- Partner with in-house logistics expertise
- Help shape pricing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years building or delivering software for finance and back-office teams
- At least one 0 to 1 product taken from nothing to real usage
- Understanding of AR and AP, billing, collections, credit control, payment application, reconciliation and the close
- Ability to analyze processes, data ownership, system handoffs and stale data
- Judgment about where AI belongs in finance workflows
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, prompting, retrieval and evaluation
- Ability to distinguish a working demo from a working system
- Ability to work effectively with customers and engineers
- Based in Miami, NYC, or Palo Alto
- Willingness to travel on site with clients in the US and Latin America
- Working Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
- Nice-to-have: accounting, controller, auditor or analyst background
- Nice-to-have: order-to-cash, AP automation, spend management, billing or revenue systems experience
- Nice-to-have: significant LLM product experience
- Nice-to-have: complex, multi-party industry experience
- Nice-to-have: consulting or solutions delivery experience
- Nice-to-have: Brazil or Mexico experience or Latin American SMB experience
