About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the AI workflow for freight requests, quoting, booking, and shipment monitoring
  • Deploy an agent into daily client use within the first two quarters
  • Establish baseline metrics and measure product improvements
  • Prevent information loss across operational handoffs and shipment changes
  • Capture expert operator judgment in the product
  • Define AI accuracy standards, evaluation sets, confirmation steps, and unsupervised-action limits
  • Decide which client-specific workflows become bespoke, configurable, or core product
  • Onboard second and third clients with less custom work
  • Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with pricing, operations, and finance teams
  • Create process maps, product specifications, and user flows for engineers
  • Build working client prototypes with AI tools
  • Own the relationship with the client's pricing lead
  • Handle nonstandard requests and post-confirmation shipment changes
  • Partner with in-house freight experts and help shape pricing
  • Observe client operations directly and document learnings, decisions, and specifications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years building or delivering software for operational teams
  • At least one 0 to 1 product taken from nothing to real usage
  • Experience in a domain with genuinely messy pricing and operational data
  • Ability to understand process data models, system ownership, data freshness, and handoffs
  • Judgment about appropriate AI, human-in-the-loop, and deterministic workflow use
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including prompting, retrieval, and evaluation
  • Ability to distinguish working demos from reliable systems
  • Ability to run customer working sessions and build customer trust
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Working Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
  • Based in Miami, NYC, or Palo Alto
  • Willingness to travel on site with clients in the US and Latin America
  • Freight forwarding, customs brokerage, 3PL, or logistics technology background is a plus, not a requirement
  • Experience building quoting, rating, tariff, or pricing systems is a plus
  • Experience with transport management, rate management, procurement platforms, carrier rate sources, or marketplace rate sources is a plus
  • Experience shipping a product with a significant LLM component is a plus
  • Consulting or solutions delivery experience is a plus
  • Experience in Brazil or Mexico, or building for Latin American SMBs, is a plus
