About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead delivery planning, scheduling, and workstream governance
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control
  • Coordinate Tenzing consultants and client stakeholders
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting to programme and executive leadership
  • Manage delivery against agreed scope, milestones, budgets, and commercial commitments
  • Coordinate deliverables through review, approval, and acceptance processes
  • Work across client teams, implementation partners, and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes
  • Drive accountability, collaboration, and delivery discipline across the workstream
  • Lead a major data services workstream within a large-scale transformation programme involving data migration, quality, governance, reconciliation, testing, and cutover activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must be Auckland based and already hold the legal right to work in New Zealand
  • 10+ years' experience managing complex technology projects or programmes
  • Strong delivery management, governance, planning, financial, and risk management skills
  • Experience leading multi-stream programmes involving diverse stakeholders and suppliers
  • Practical understanding of data migration, data quality, testing, reconciliation, governance, and cutover activities
  • Experience leading teams of consultants, analysts, architects, engineers, and subject matter experts
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior executives and programme leaders
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing delivery against contractual commitments
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, establish momentum quickly, and maintain delivery control
  • Desirable: experience with data migration or ERP transformation programmes
  • Desirable: experience in consulting or professional services environments
  • Desirable: experience with multi-vendor delivery programmes
  • Desirable: experience with Oracle Fusion, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Databricks environments
  • Desirable: PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification
  • Desirable: experience working within New Zealand government or highly governed organisations
