About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities and international jurisdictions
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial close processes
  • Oversee general ledger integrity, account reconciliations, US GAAP compliance, and internal policies
  • Prepare, review, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, management reporting, variance analysis, and actuals monitoring
  • Oversee cost accounting, standard cost development, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics, Engineering, Finance, Cost Accounting, and Operations on BOM reviews, cost drivers, efficiency initiatives, and product profitability
  • Strengthen internal controls and compliance across business units and international entities
  • Lead external audit preparation, liaise with auditors, and implement recommendations
  • Support tax, regulatory, and sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Own or serve as SME for NetSuite, supporting configuration, workflows, integrations, and optimization
  • Identify and implement automation and AI-enabled solutions
  • Champion accounting and finance process improvements
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team
  • Support global expansion, system enhancements, utilization and headcount management, and future M&A integration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Active or inactive CPA credential
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in cost or manufacturing accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, consolidated financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting
  • Experience operating in international or multi-jurisdictional environments
  • Prior experience with NetSuite
  • Previous audit experience (public accounting or internal audit function)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting teams
  • Preferred: Experience in solar, renewable energy, manufacturing, hardware, or high-growth scale-up environments
  • Preferred: Background managing multi-entity structures, intercompany transactions, or global expansion
  • Preferred: Experience implementing or optimizing accounting systems and automation tools
  • High attention to detail with exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proven ability to lead teams and scale accounting operations
  • Strategic problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
