About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Sr. Manager of Project Controls
  • Build, scale, and lead a globally distributed team of Project Schedulers and planners
  • Own schedules for multiple simultaneous customer projects throughout production and deployment
  • Ensure timelines are realistic, resources are effectively allocated, and risks are identified and managed early
  • Own each project’s Integrated Master Schedule and the program-level Integrated Master Plan
  • Provide visibility into critical paths, resource constraints, and milestone sub-tasks
  • Manage manufacturing production schedules and weekly production reports to keep equipment deliveries on track
  • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy, reporting, and operational efficiency
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate integrated master plans and schedules
  • Integrate schedules across product engineering, procurement, quality, commissioning and warranty, and operations
  • Perform risk analysis and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts
  • Implement and maintain Earned Value Management and project management techniques
  • Implement and maintain Estimate At Complete forecasting processes and tools
  • Conduct regular cost variance reviews to assess project financial health and funding status
  • Manage team task and resource allocation, prioritization, performance management, and compensation reviews
  • Lead and mentor scheduling team members through guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Collaborate with business unit leadership on team goals and key initiatives
  • Identify process gaps and streamline workflows
  • Collaborate across departments to meet customer deliverables and departmental priorities
  • Monitor project Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index
  • Develop reports highlighting root causes of performance variances
  • Support business-unit KPI management and continuous improvement of project operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, energy, or related field
  • Advanced proficiency with scheduling platforms such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Detailed development experience of an IMS, IMP, and EVM tools
  • Advanced understanding of Earned Value Management tools and best practices
  • Ability to set up and lead EVM implementation
  • 5+ years’ experience in project controls, scheduling, or planning within the solar or renewable energy industry, heavy construction, aerospace, or similar industry
  • Advanced or expert skill level in MS Suite of software, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience building, scaling, and leading distributed teams, including international team members across multiple time zones
  • Willingness to work in a Hybrid (Home/Office) setup and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, primarily to headquarters in Northern California, with occasional international travel
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, PgMP, or similar preferred
  • Master’s degree in operations, business, energy, or related field preferred
  • Experience with Cora Systems PPM software or similar PPM platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in complementary project management and CRM tools such as Salesforce preferred
