About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop strategies to turn complex customer requirements into complete automated test solutions, including custom fixturing, cabling, and software
  • Present planned strategies to internal and external stakeholders in design reviews, including System Requirement Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to guide design efforts and ensure designs support the planned strategy
  • Develop custom software in C# to operate automated test equipment and fixturing
  • Integrate new software and hardware, debug, and solve system issues
  • Develop operator interfaces using test executive environments such as TestStand
  • Provide documentation for developed software, including operator manuals and version description documents
  • Work with electrical technologies including high-speed digital buses, Ethernet, analog signals, and power systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Application Engineering using Automated Test Equipment, Test Development Engineering, or other relevant experience, or recent Master’s degree graduate
  • Strong programming skills with C# or other object-oriented languages
  • Experience with Visual Studio or other IDE and associated debug tools
  • Familiarity with Git or other source control tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical hardware using a multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
  • Excellent technical presentation skills
  • Comfortable working full-time onsite, 5 days per week
  • Able to support occasional travel, up to 10% or greater
  • ITAR eligibility: US Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee, or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program
  • Prefer experience with test executive environments like TestStand and TestStudio
  • Prefer experience with Spectrum 9100, Spectrum HS, or similar automated test equipment
