About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Hire, coach, and develop a team of application engineers
- Build team capability, bench strength, and clear growth paths across experience levels
- Set team goals, technical priorities, and workload distribution
- Lead performance management, career development, and succession planning
- Guide the team's contribution to the product roadmap, including requirements definition, release readiness, and post-implementation validation
- Build relationships with key customers and worldwide account teams
- Leverage customer insights and industry trends to help shape product priorities
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Field Applications to align customer requirements with product strategy and business objectives
- Serve as an escalation point for key design-ins, complex customer engagements, and cross-functional initiatives
- Own the team's technical capability roadmap across the UltraFLEXplus platform and Digital, Serial, and DC product areas
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve customer productivity, test quality, and adoption of Teradyne's semiconductor test solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in a related technical field, including experience leading and developing technical teams
- Proven ability to build high-performing teams through hiring, coaching, talent development, and succession planning
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including digital logic, digital communications, and signal processing
- Knowledge of power delivery is a plus
- Working knowledge of software programming concepts, preferably C#, sufficient to guide technical direction and evaluate team output
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate customer and market needs into executable priorities and plans
- Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment among technical, commercial, and customer-facing stakeholders
- Knowledge of semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or test is a plus
- Must be able to work without visa sponsorship
