About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams across hardware, software, systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering disciplines
  • Own program execution including cost, schedule, scope, technical performance, risk management, and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules and drive achievement of key milestones and deliverables
  • Lead customer reviews, technical interchange meetings, executive program reviews, and status reporting activities
  • Identify program risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and drive issue resolution
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors supporting program execution and delivery commitments
  • Establish and monitor program metrics related to contractual, financial, schedule, and technical performance
  • Mentor project management team members and promote program management best practices
  • Support business growth initiatives, proposal development activities, and long-range strategic planning efforts
  • Deliver automated test solutions for military and aerospace customers through complex multidisciplinary engineering programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline required
  • 8+ years of technical project or program management experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with a Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multidisciplinary engineering development programs
  • Strong experience with risk management, schedule management, and customer-facing program leadership
  • Ability to influence decisions across engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and external suppliers
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably Siemens Teamcenter
  • Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and understanding engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and program management business processes
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, approximately 10-20%
  • ITAR eligibility: US Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee, or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program
  • Position is not eligible for sponsorship
  • Local to North Reading, MA; relocation is not provided
