About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set technical direction for DevOps and platform engineering, mentor engineers, and champion infrastructure standards
Lead planning for team goals aligned with business goals and the technology roadmap
Architect and evolve cloud infrastructure using Terraform
Maintain Helm charts and deployment patterns
Build CI/CD tooling with GitHub Actions
Drive security and automate SOC 2 compliance controls
Extend security controls to AI and agentic systems
Advance observability with OpenTelemetry and Grafana Cloud
Build developer tooling for container-based development and production-like testing scenarios
Build and operate infrastructure for ML and internal AI workloads
Partner with the Data team on Databricks and Kafka infrastructure
Contribute to a highly available web-based depot operations platform using NodeJS
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, lead incident response, and conduct blameless postmortems
Work with the SVP of Technology, Product team, and technical partners to scale the platform and improve reliability, performance, and maintainability

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years building and operating high-availability production systems, including leading DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering initiatives
Deep experience with AWS, managed Kubernetes (EKS), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Experience building CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions
Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Grafana
Experience leading SRE or DevOps initiatives supporting production cloud platforms
Experience with managed databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams
Preferred: experience with multi-region AWS and EKS at scale
Preferred: experience operating LLM-based applications or agents in production, including monitoring, cost optimization, evaluations, and LLM-specific security controls
Preferred: experience with Databricks, Kafka (MSK), or similar streaming/data platforms
Preferred: proficiency in Python or NodeJS
