About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage collection of insurance underwriting information
  • Review and analyze insurance submission materials
  • Provide recommendations on appropriate treatment of exposures
  • Collect, review, and distribute post-renewal documentation, including binders, policies, endorsements, and policy-posting materials
  • Assist with administration of claims under all policies, primarily general liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims
  • Coordinate with Legal, Human Resources, and adjusters throughout the claims process
  • Serve as central point of contact for Certificates of Insurance requests and issuance
  • Maintain and manage certificate issuance to counterparties following annual renewal
  • Support Legal and Procurement by reviewing insurance requirements
  • Advise on appropriate insurance provisions for counterparties
  • Support construction financing activities
  • Collaborate on training materials for internal managers
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Stay current on risk management, insurance, and relevant industry trends
  • Report to the Director, Risk Management
  • Partner with departments across the organization to administer, monitor, and enhance risk management programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related risk management role required; 3–5 years preferred
  • 7–10 years of underwriting or broker service experience may be considered equivalent experience
  • Strong proficiency in liability lines, including general liability, auto, workers’ compensation, and umbrella coverage
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively across multiple projects
  • Some travel required
  • Ability to drive vehicles on Company business
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening
