About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Technically manage the operation and maintenance (O&M) of photovoltaic power plants and small hydropower plants, serving as the link between the office and the field
- Diagnose failures and perform root cause analyses on critical electromechanical equipment, proposing and validating technical solutions
- Technically validate electromechanical projects during the construction phase
- Monitor and supervise electrical and mechanical assembly, commissioning, and testing of auxiliary systems
- Conduct technical site visits to collect data, diagnose performance, and develop intervention plans
- Carry out and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance using electromechanical procedures, instrumentation, and diagnostic tools
- Manage critical material planning and inventories
- Prepare, monitor, and technically validate Work Orders
- Develop and review Maintenance Procedures
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans and schedules based on asset criticality and the impact on power generation
- Monitor and analyze availability, performance, generation, and Performance Ratio (PR) KPIs, proposing corrective actions to optimize results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
- Civil Engineering degrees may be considered with substantial, proven experience in electromechanical power generation systems
- Proven practical experience in the O&M of photovoltaic and/or hydroelectric power plants, with significant field experience
- Strong technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving failures in electromechanical equipment, including inverters, transformers, generators, turbines, protection panels, and automation systems
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret performance indicators, identify deviations, correlate root causes, and propose corrective actions
- Certifications or additional courses in industrial maintenance, automation, protection systems, or applied electromechanics are preferred
