About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help shape AI features by translating the QV.AC vision into use cases, feature proposals, and product requirements
  • Gather user feedback, conduct research, and identify meaningful problems AI can solve
  • Write product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes
  • Use AI-assisted tools to explore and refine product concepts
  • Collaborate with engineers on technical trade-offs across devices and models
  • Assess response quality, latency, memory usage, battery consumption, and privacy impacts
  • Support prioritization, scope definition, dependency identification, and backlog management
  • Drive assigned features through development, product review, feedback coordination, and release readiness
  • Monitor AI products, models, tools, and interaction patterns and recommend relevant experiments or adoptions
  • Work with the Product Lead, engineering, design, and relevant teams to advance QV.AC, a local, on-device, privacy-preserving AI assistant

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally working on AI software products with technical engineering teams
  • Practical experience building, shipping, or prototyping AI-powered features, with the ability to explain your contribution and what you learned
  • Working understanding of AI concepts such as inference, harnesses, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation
  • Interest in local and on-device AI
  • Ability to translate an ambiguous idea into a clear user problem, proposed solution, and actionable requirements
  • Strong product judgment, with attention to usability, scope, and measurable user value
  • Confidence creating prototypes using design or coding tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including discussing technical trade-offs with engineers and explaining them to non-technical colleagues
  • Proactive, collaborative approach; comfortable taking responsibility, asking questions early, and incorporating feedback
  • Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and iterative software development
  • Preferred: Experience with local AI, on-device inference, or open-source models
  • Preferred: Experience building AI assistants, conversational interfaces, or multimodal features
  • Preferred: Familiarity with desktop or mobile product development
  • Preferred: Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized applications
  • Preferred: Experience evaluating AI output quality and designing user experiences that account for uncertainty and errors
  • Preferred: Experience working in a distributed team
  • Excellent English communication skills
