About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help shape AI features by translating the QV.AC vision into use cases, feature proposals, and product requirements
- Gather user feedback and conduct research to identify meaningful problems AI can solve
- Write product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows
- Create wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes using design, coding, and AI-assisted tools
- Collaborate with engineers on feasibility and technical trade-offs across devices and models
- Assess response quality, latency, memory usage, battery consumption, and privacy impacts
- Help evaluate opportunities, clarify scope, identify dependencies, and maintain a focused backlog
- Drive assigned features through development, resolve product questions, review experiences, and coordinate release readiness
- Explore AI products, models, tools, and interaction patterns and recommend relevant technologies for QV.AC
- Work closely with the Product Lead, engineering, design, and relevant teams
- Contribute to QV.AC, a local, on-device, privacy-preserving AI assistant within Tether’s peer-to-peer ecosystem
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally working on AI software products with technical engineering teams
- Practical experience building, shipping, or prototyping AI-powered features, with the ability to explain your contribution and what you learned
- Working understanding of AI concepts such as inference, harnesses, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation
- Interest in local and on-device AI
- Ability to translate an ambiguous idea into a clear user problem, proposed solution, and actionable requirements
- Strong product judgment, with attention to usability, scope, and measurable user value
- Confidence creating prototypes using design or coding tools
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to discuss technical trade-offs with engineers and explain them to non-technical colleagues
- Proactive, collaborative approach and comfort taking responsibility, asking questions early, and incorporating feedback
- Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and iterative software development
- Experience with local AI, on-device inference, or open-source models preferred
- Experience building AI assistants, conversational interfaces, or multimodal features preferred
- Familiarity with desktop or mobile product development preferred
- Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized applications preferred
- Experience evaluating AI output quality and designing user experiences that account for uncertainty and errors preferred
- Experience working in a distributed team preferred
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work remotely from a specified country
