About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Product Lead to translate the QV.AC vision into use cases, feature proposals, and product requirements
- Gather user feedback, conduct research, and explore everyday AI workflows
- Identify meaningful problems AI can solve and when simpler solutions are preferable
- Write product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows
- Create wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes
- Use AI-assisted tools to explore and refine product concepts
- Collaborate with engineers on feasibility and technical trade-offs across devices and models
- Assess response quality, latency, memory usage, battery consumption, and privacy impacts
- Support opportunity evaluation, scope clarification, dependency identification, prioritization, and backlog management
- Drive assigned features through development, resolve product questions, review experiences, and coordinate feedback and release readiness
- Monitor new AI products, models, tools, and interaction patterns and recommend relevant experiments or adoption
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally working on AI software products with technical engineering teams
- Practical experience building, shipping, or prototyping AI-powered features
- Working understanding of AI concepts such as inference, harnesses, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation
- Interest in local and on-device AI
- Ability to translate ambiguous ideas into clear user problems, proposed solutions, and actionable requirements
- Strong product judgment, with attention to usability, scope, and measurable user value
- Confidence creating prototypes using design or coding tools
- Clear written and verbal communication, including discussing technical trade-offs with engineers and explaining them to non-technical colleagues
- Proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to take responsibility, ask questions early, and incorporate feedback
- Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and iterative software development
- Preferred: experience with local AI, on-device inference, or open-source models
- Preferred: experience building AI assistants, conversational interfaces, or multimodal features
- Preferred: familiarity with desktop or mobile product development
- Preferred: understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized applications
- Preferred: experience evaluating AI output quality and designing experiences that account for uncertainty and errors
- Preferred: experience working in a distributed team
