About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android
Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing and identity backup
Integrate native platform capabilities including push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks on iOS and Android
Profile and optimize performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery and network usage
Write unit and end-to-end tests
Help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting
Collaborate with the core P2P, design and product teams
Review code with a high bar for quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience with React Native, Redux for state management and Redux-Saga
Highly proficient in JavaScript and ES6+
Experienced with WebSockets and RESTful-based APIs
Experience working with a remote team
Interest in modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications
Knowledge of native languages (Swift/Kotlin) and familiarity with native build tools (Xcode/Android Studio) is advantageous
Experience with peer-to-peer frameworks is a bonus
Excellent English communication skills
