About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android
Build and polish features for chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup
Integrate native platform capabilities including push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks on iOS and Android
Profile and optimize performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery usage, and network usage
Write unit and end-to-end tests
Help maintain stable releases through CI and crash reporting
Collaborate with core P2P, design, and product teams
Review code with a high standard for quality
Own features end to end, from UI/UX implementation to use of P2P core APIs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience with React Native
Experience with Redux for state management and Redux-Saga
Highly proficient in JavaScript and ES6+
Experience with WebSockets
Experience with RESTful APIs
Experience working with a remote team
Interest in modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications
Knowledge of native languages such as Swift or Kotlin is advantageous
Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode and Android Studio is advantageous
Experience with P2P frameworks is a bonus
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to work remotely from a country of residence
