About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling app for iOS and Android
  • Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup
  • Integrate native platform capabilities including push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks on iOS and Android
  • Profile and optimize performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery use, and network use
  • Write unit and end-to-end tests
  • Help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting
  • Own features end to end, from UI/UX implementation to use of P2P core APIs
  • Collaborate with core P2P, design, and product teams
  • Review code with a high bar for quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience with React Native
  • Experience with Redux for state management and Redux-Saga
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript and ES6+
  • Experience with WebSockets
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience working with a remote team
  • Interest in modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications
  • Knowledge of native languages such as Swift or Kotlin is advantageous
  • Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode or Android Studio is advantageous
  • Experience building with P2P frameworks is a bonus
  • Excellent English communication skills
