About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and articulate Keet’s long-term vision as a private, peer-to-peer communication app with a path to 1 billion users
Analyze WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LINE, WeChat, and emerging competitors to identify Keet’s P2P advantages
Build the product roadmap and define growth strategies across acquisition, activation, retention, and virality
Present product vision, strategy, metrics, and progress to the board and executive leadership
Develop a working understanding of the Holepunch P2P stack and translate its capabilities and constraints into product decisions
Partner with engineering on NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device support, large groups, push notifications, and mobile battery and data efficiency
Own the 1:1 and group voice/video calling and screen-sharing experience
Define feature tiers distinguishing stable and experimental functionality
Use AI coding and design tools to create working prototypes and demos within days
Lead the product team and manage sprint planning, prioritization, standups, reviews, and retrospectives
Own deliverables through conception, release, testing, and post-launch iteration
Maintain issue trackers and roadmaps reflecting priorities and sprint commitments
Coordinate engineering, QA, design, marketing, business stakeholders, and cross-team dependencies
Provide transparent updates on status, risks, and timeline changes, and maintain accountability
Own iOS and Android mobile release processes, including store submissions, compliance, listings, ratings, and release management
Oversee desktop distribution and installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux
Build privacy-preserving crash reporting, debugging, and analytics systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of product management experience, including significant time in a senior or lead role owning a consumer product end to end
Proven track record of setting product vision and driving measurable outcomes at scale, with tens of millions of users or more
Experience leading engineers and running sprint cadences with predictable delivery across cross-functional teams
Deep JavaScript and React skills
Ability to read and write production code, review pull requests, and build working prototypes
Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, including sync, offline behavior, and consistency trade-offs
Hands-on experience shipping and scaling mobile apps on iOS and Android
Deep familiarity with App Store and Google Play logistics, review processes, and release management
Experience with real-time voice and video calling products and related quality, latency, and reliability trade-offs
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to rapidly prototype and demonstrate product concepts
Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting vision and strategy to boards, executives, and investors
Ability to make fast, high-quality decisions with incomplete information
Willingness to work in a high-intensity, fast-moving environment and work extended hours when required
Excellent written and spoken English
Nice to have: product leadership experience at a major messaging app
Nice to have: experience with peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems, or decentralized protocols
Nice to have: exposure to Holepunch, Pear, or Hypercore
Nice to have: experience growing products in emerging markets or across multiple regions and languages
Nice to have: background in privacy, encryption, or security-focused products
Nice to have: familiarity with Electron, React Native, installer systems, boot performance, and Linux packaging
