About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the TEEX Workforce Development Programs
- Coordinate Environmental, Health and Safety Program course activities associated with delivering assigned courses
- Act as a lead instructor guided by TEEX STARS values
- Conduct course topic presentations, including demonstrations with course teaching aids
- Utilize adult learning theories and learning styles to present and maximize learner success
- Deliver effective course instruction to a broad audience
- Report to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of related experience in environmental, health and safety in the Construction and/or General Industries
- Two years in adult education and/or training and a background in training concepts and programs
- Due to the location of course facilitation, applicants must reside in any of the following counties to be considered: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, and Willacy
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment
- OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501)
- Equivalency: Will consider three years of related experience with an Associate's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university, or one year of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university
- All experience must include two years in adult education and/or training and a background in training concepts and programs
- Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation
- Employment is contingent upon verification of credentials and/or other required information
