About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in training specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within TEEX Workforce Development Programs
- Deliver and conduct training courses for water and wastewater utility personnel
- Increase trainees' technical competence and skills
- Prepare classrooms and course topics
- Deliver classes and demonstrate using teaching aids
- Complete required administrative paperwork
- Maintain technical competence and skills
- Report to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years of experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems
- Applicants must reside in Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, or Willacy County
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Texas Class "B" Water License
- Texas Class "B" Wastewater License or Wastewater Collection II or III
- One year of experience in training adults and one of the following: 60 hours of classroom instructional experience; approved Instructor training in Methods of Teaching; approved Instructor training in Effective Instructional Techniques and Instructional Design and Evaluation; or approved Instructor training in Organizational and Use of Training Materials
- Equivalency: five years of related experience with an Associate's Degree in an applicable field, or seven years of related experience with a High School Diploma/GED
- Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials and other required information
