About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and monitor daily operations of catastrophic workers' compensation claim processing
- Ensure compliance with the Texas Workers' Compensation Act, Division of Workers' Compensation rules, and internal procedures
- Provide guidance to staff regarding claim handling and desired outcomes
- Recruit, retain, coach, and mentor employees
- Contribute to division goals, objectives, policies, standards, procedures, and budgets
- Supervise claims personnel administering compensation and medical benefits to injured employees
- Oversee TIB, IIB, SIB, LIB, and death benefit claims caseloads
- Manage personnel, equipment, facilities, and finances of assigned operations
- Ensure coordination and support of division goals and objectives
- Monitor the quality of claims personnel's work
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma
- Texas workers' compensation or all lines adjuster's license
- At least five years of experience in adjusting workers' compensation claims (Texas preferred)
- Texas residency required
- Ability to travel to designated office as needed
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Two years of prior supervision (preferred)
- Industry-related designation (preferred)
