About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate and proofread documents for a variety of clients
- Create and finalize translated end products before delivery to clients
- Work under the guidance of a manager and collaborate with Project Managers
- Translate from English into Danish in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface)
- Provide relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience and proposed per-word rates in USD
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish
- Specialized in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface)
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
- Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Applicants must complete free Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM tests
- One of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized higher education institution; 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
- Native or proficient Danish and English language skills are required for the application
