About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare precise engineering calculations, load path layouts, and construction drawings for residential and commercial building projects
  • Perform structural calculations for gravity, lateral, foundation, and retaining systems
  • Design wood-frame assemblies including shear walls, joists, and beams
  • Design reinforced concrete elements including foundations, slabs, and columns
  • Develop detailed structural plans, sections, and framing details using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project leads to ensure constructability
  • Ensure compliance with building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 2 to 5+ years of structural design experience with a proven track record in wood and concrete
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software such as Enercalc, RISA, WoodWorks, or RAM
  • EIT preferred; SE/PE track is a plus
  • Professional attitude and ethical behavior
