About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare engineering calculations, layouts, and construction drawings for diverse building projects
Design gravity and lateral load systems, focusing on wood framing and reinforced concrete structures
Perform structural calculations for gravity, lateral, foundation, and retaining systems
Design wood-frame assemblies including shear walls, joists, and beams
Design reinforced concrete elements including foundations, slabs, and columns
Develop detailed structural plans, sections, and framing details using AutoCAD and Revit
Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project leads to ensure constructability
Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS building codes
Submit a voice note for the screening process
Provide work samples or a portfolio in PDF format

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
2 to 5+ years of structural design experience
Proven experience in wood and concrete structural design
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software such as Enercalc, RISA, WoodWorks, or RAM
EIT preferred; SE/PE track is a plus
Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS building codes
Professional attitude and ethical behavior
Solid written and verbal communication skills
