About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform software and hardware development for cloud-related rapid prototyping activities
- Research and experiment with state-of-the-art software and hardware technologies
- Manage Linux systems to provide SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS capabilities
- Implement DevOps technologies to streamline development, testing, build, and deployment of applications
- Leverage Kubernetes and cloud services from AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or GCP
- Investigate emerging cloud technologies for current and future implementation by space-domain customers
- Work on multiple projects over the summer across different customers, focus areas, and tools
- Receive training and mentorship from cloud and software development subject matter experts
- Learn about projects, tools, and technologies used across the enterprise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field(s) from a recognized institution
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Software development experience with at least one major language (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, Go, Rust, etc.)
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
- Project experience with DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
- Transcripts required
- GPA of 3.5 or higher (preferred)
- Active security clearance (preferred)
- Experience with cloud and virtualization tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and/or VMware technologies (preferred)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (preferred)
