About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate program needs from cross-mission-focused program offices and customers into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks
  • Represent the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department as a technical authority
  • Independently lead and contribute to technical analysis projects
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent team deliveries
  • Understand, model, and analyze enterprise-level integrated missions
  • Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers
  • Mentor junior staff on technical and professional development
  • Contribute to a learning environment that encourages sharing ideas and feedback
  • Travel occasionally as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or closely related technical field from an accredited school
  • 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
  • Technical understanding of space operations, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, kill chain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and/or command and control (C2)
  • Advanced experience with Python and C++
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • High level of creativity, initiative, and self-motivation
  • Ability to work on dynamic assignments and adapt to changing customer expectations
  • Collaboration skills for integrating across organizational boundaries and with multiple customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines (preferred)
  • Proficiency with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) (preferred)
  • Strength in sensor- and architecture-level simulations and mission performance assessments (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of the Air Force business practices and programs (preferred)
  • Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance with polygraph and special programs access (preferred)
