About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the software design and implementation of a simulated space system
- Develop prototype software in Python, Java, and C for simulated space and ground elements
- Participate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners
- Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out prescribed scientific and engineering tasks
- Work within the Information Systems and Cyber Division to deliver software-intensive systems for Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers
- Receive training and mentorship
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Master's or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field(s)
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Advanced level programming experience in Python, C/C++, or JAVA
- Experience working with common cloud computing services such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
- Transcripts required
- GPA 3.5 or higher
- Active TS/SCI
- Prior participation in agile software development
