About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, and security architecture support for USSTRATCOM
Support 24/7 IT services and network operations for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments
Conduct cyber forensics, intrusion detection, threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability assessments
Design secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms
Implement and support system and network security, cryptography, firewalls, identity management, and secure architectures
Develop secure code and automate security workflows using Java, C++, and Python
Apply DevSecOps practices across cloud and virtualized environments
Use security tools including Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, and AWS/Azure/GCP security suites
Document security activities and communicate findings with stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status
BA/BS or equivalent experience
5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or security architecture experience
ITIL Foundations v4 Certificate or the ability to obtain within 9 months
Experience with cyber forensics, intrusion detection, threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability assessment tools
Strong background in system/network security, encryption algorithms, cryptography, identity management, secure architectures, firewalls, and DevSecOps environments
Proficiency with Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, AWS/Azure/GCP security suites, and vulnerability management platforms
Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python, with secure coding and security workflow automation experience
Familiarity with cloud security, virtualization, infrastructure-as-code, Terraform, and security compliance frameworks
Experience designing secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms
Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, analytical skills, and attention to detail
Preferred: CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity credentials
