About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct research and analysis for ACEEE’s transportation program
- Work directly with local and state governments on transportation-sector transformation projects
- Contribute to research, analysis, and outreach across transportation electrification, freight and passenger vehicles, land use and transportation policy, fuel efficiency standards, and multimodal transportation infrastructure
- Advance cross-cutting strategies that improve transportation energy efficiency and equity
- Assist with developing and delivering technical assistance to outside stakeholders
- Manage project tasks and correspond with project team members
- Collaborate with ACEEE teams and external partners on multi-sector projects
- Participate in committee and working group meetings
- Write blog posts and develop presentations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with transportation sustainability, multimodal transportation, and/or transportation electrification
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to participate in and contribute to cross-disciplinary research and teams
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to balance multiple deadlines and contribute to complex, multi-partner projects
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with quantitative and qualitative data and spreadsheets
- Initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently
- Passion for clean energy, environmental issues, and social justice
- Ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate complex or large amounts of data and information
- Professionalism, poise, and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to interact with a diverse array of people, including high-level stakeholders
- Degree in transportation planning, public policy, engineering, economics, environmental studies, or a similar field
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or Master’s degree and one or more years of experience
- Applicants must be located in the United States if working remotely
