About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the trading performance framework across Marine & Leisure products, focusing on schemes and direct business
Deliver weekly and monthly trading reports highlighting trends, opportunities, risks and performance against plan
Analyse new business, renewals, retention, premium growth, conversion rates, pipeline performance and portfolio mix
Develop forward-looking insight using business performance data, pipeline information and market intelligence
Partner with underwriting, distribution and marketing teams to identify and implement trading actions
Own reporting governance, data quality standards and management information controls
Drive automation and reporting improvements
Lead analysis of marketing performance and measure return on investment across campaigns, channels and product lines
Connect marketing activity to customer acquisition, conversion, retention and profitability outcomes
Support forecasting, planning, scenario modelling and strategic business initiatives
Prepare analysis and recommendations for senior leadership meetings, portfolio reviews and commercial decision-making forums
Present complex information clearly and commercially to a wide range of stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in commercial analysis, business insight, trading performance or management information roles
Advanced analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets
Experience producing senior-level management information, trading packs and performance reporting
Strong understanding of commercial drivers including sales performance, customer retention, profitability and portfolio management
Experience assessing marketing performance, campaign effectiveness and return on investment would be highly advantageous
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and partner with senior leaders
Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering practical, commercially valuable outcomes
Experience within insurance, financial services or a regulated environment would be beneficial
Relevant employment checks, including verification of recent employment, address, credit history and a standard criminal record check
