About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with securing and coordinating high-profile interviews and guest appearances across the print magazine, website, Book Club, podcasts, video, newsletters, and audience platforms
  • Serve as a point of contact for editors, producers, and newsroom leaders seeking to identify and book high-profile interview subjects and guest talent
  • Negotiate contracts and releases in coordination with the legal team where appropriate
  • Facilitate logistics for virtual and on-site appearances, coordinating with editors, producers, editorial operations, and building management teams
  • Build a rolodex of existing and potential contacts
  • Create and maintain tracking systems for upcoming interviews for internal awareness and cross-team coordination
  • Assist with other pre- or post-production logistics as needed
  • Report to a managing editor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ambitious and energetic

  • Clear and proactive communication style
  • Excellent diplomatic and research skills
  • Strong understanding of journalistic standards
  • Booking experience is a plus, not a must
  • Successful completion of reference checks
