About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with management and service of complex commercial accounts
- Develop and retain consultative client relationships
- Evaluate and educate clients on missing or newly available coverage options
- Acquire and retain large, complex clients through understanding of risk, risk mitigation, and insurance architecture
- Develop trusted partnerships with insurance company partners and broker representatives
- Lead internal discussions on client renewals, including coverage comparisons, pricing comparisons, historical loss experience, and projected loss picks
- Prepare complex marketplace submissions, including loss picks, deductible stratification, endorsement requests, and exposure information
- Assess final audits for accuracy between client and insurance company partner audit teams’ identification of risk
- Build trusting relationships with clients, insurance company partners, brokers, advisors, partners, and leaders
- Share insurance expertise with advisors, account managers, and colleagues to advise, develop, and train
Requirements
What you’ll need- Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions, or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment
- CPCU, CIC, CRM, or ARM preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and existing insurance coverages and develop and communicate recommendations through risk mapping
- Exceptional technical knowledge of insurance coverage, contracts, insurance market conditions, and carrier underwriting appetites
- Experience reviewing, placing, and negotiating loss sensitive casualty and workers compensation placements including captive structure preferred
- Preferred industry specialization such as Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Wholesale Trade, Transportation, Retail Trade, Real Estate, or Services
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to learn other appropriate programs or software systems used by the firm
- Ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on objective analysis and multiple perspectives
- Ability to demonstrate the organization’s core values and behavior aligned with the firm’s culture
