About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage company-provided leads and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Generate referrals and cultivate long-term client relationships through centers of influence and referral partnerships
- Present insurance proposals and review coverages to ensure client understanding
- Communicate with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and internal service teams via phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Finalize sales by collecting documentation, applications, and signatures and transitioning clients to the service team
- Identify client needs, overcome objections, and provide tailored insurance solutions
- Maintain follow-up discipline and pipeline management to maximize conversion and retention
- Prepare recommendations and coverage solutions while following agency policies and carrier underwriting guidelines
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail to minimize errors and omissions exposure
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance products, industry trends, and underwriting guidelines
- Represent the firm professionally in the community and in client and carrier interactions
- Identify workflow and process improvements and contribute positively to team culture
- Meet or exceed monthly new business production goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Property & Casualty License required
- Minimum of 2 years of personal lines insurance experience required
- Proven sales background with a track record of meeting or exceeding production goals
- Strong phone sales and relationship-building skills with the ability to confidently lead conversations and close business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build rapport quickly with a wide range of personalities
- Comfortable handling high call volume, follow-up activity, and pipeline management in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical and computer skills, including proficiency with CRM systems, agency management platforms, email, and virtual communication tools
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Self-motivated, competitive, coachable, and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment
