About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the introduction of new insurance products, enhancements to existing products, and entry into new markets
  • Collaborate with Distribution, Actuarial, Claims, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Data teams on product-related revisions and initiatives
  • Conduct competitive, market, and portfolio analyses to identify trends, emerging risks, growth opportunities, and product improvements
  • Evaluate agency performance and develop data-driven strategies with Distribution stakeholders
  • Define and execute product roadmaps aligned with company strategy
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and organizational change efforts
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure regulatory revisions are implemented on time
  • Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to analyze profitability and competitive position by state and program
  • Review insurance company filings, rate algorithms, underwriting guidelines, forms, and industry and regulatory changes
  • Provide recommendations to improve product launches, changes, enhancements, profitability, market expansion, and long-term growth
  • Analyze competitor offerings against MSI’s current offerings and partner or market needs
  • Drive implementation of new products and enhancements across all functional areas
  • Provide recommendations to executives on product strategy, tactical execution, and prioritization
  • Support ongoing operations with profit and loss accountability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance product management, product development, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Deep insurance product expertise and strong commercial acumen
  • Sound judgment and confident, data-informed decision-making
  • Proven ability to apply AI tools and capabilities to improve productivity and business outcomes
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of insurance product development, pricing, and regulatory filing processes
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including proficiency in Excel and SQL
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Exceptional self-management, prioritization, and ability to manage multiple initiatives
