About the role

  • Coordinate key services and develop initial placement/renewal strategy.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate carrier relationships.
  • Perform marketing activities for assigned large accounts.
  • Prepare or peer review risk maps for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate service delivery.
  • Complete special projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes.
  • Bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
  • Mentor new colleagues when requested.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and either has, or is working towards, a professional insurance designation.
  • Must possess at least five years’ experience and demonstrated proficiency in Account Management.
  • Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions, or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites.
  • Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and existing insurance coverages and develop appropriate recommendations.
  • Excellent client service and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with ability to learn other insurance and firm software.
  • Effective verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
