About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the redesign and optimisation of network infrastructure across sites
Own segmentation, VLAN redesign, WAN uplinks, LAN architecture and NAT configuration
Own deployment, enrolment and operational lifecycle of Microsoft Intune across Windows and macOS devices
Support EDR/XDR, VPN and Zero Trust Network Access connectivity
Maintain full-disk encryption and BYOD tooling in line with security policy
Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Support identity federation using SCIM, SAML and OIDC
Manage Azure and third-party cloud backup infrastructure
Manage hardware procurement, deployment and secure decommissioning
Handle BAU tickets within an ITIL/ITSM framework
Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Python or similar and APIs
Contribute to Cyber Essentials Plus, Cyber Assurance L2 compliance and resilience planning
Collaborate with the Cyber & Security Operations Lead and IT Service Delivery Manager
Report to the Head of IT & Security
Participate in an in-person interview at the office

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong background in a senior infrastructure, network engineering or 3rd-line systems role
Extensive, hands-on experience with enterprise grade routing, switching, firewall/UTM and wireless platforms
Working knowledge of VPN and ZTNA
Hands-on administrative experience across Microsoft 365, including Intune
Device management for both Windows and macOS
General exposure to EDR/XDR platforms
Understanding of full-disk encryption, BYOD/MDM controls and device compliance
Experience working within ITIL/ITSM change control
Hands-on BAU support and hardware lifecycle management
Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to operate independently with high technical autonomy
Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python or similar and understanding of APIs highly preferred
Desirable, not essential: Google Workspace administration; SCIM, SAML or OIDC; Cyber Essentials Plus / Cyber Assurance L2; Azure storage or third-party cloud backup tooling
