About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide therapy and support for youth and families struggling with behavioral and delinquency issues
  • Assess clients for appropriate level of care, behavioral concerns, trauma, risk, cultural factors, and strengths
  • Collaborate with admissions and engagement and complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments
  • Complete program-specific assessments such as DLA 20 or ASQ
  • Develop training plans and facilitate coaching
  • Adjust services to client needs and ensure timely referrals
  • Support family members through discharge
  • Schedule and conduct therapeutic counseling sessions with individuals, families, and treatment teams
  • Work evenings as needed to accommodate families
  • Use trauma-informed interventions to engage clients
  • Educate clients, families, and providers about healthcare conditions, prevention, treatments, illness, whole-health self-management, peer support, and recovery
  • Manage behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions
  • Document client progress, progress notes, treatment plans, behavior management programs, discharge planning, and administrative/UM reports
  • Contact newly assigned cases within 48 hours and conduct the first appointment within 7 days

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, or related field; master’s degree preferred
  • Active LPC, LSW, or MFT licensure, or license exam eligible
  • Active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Previous work experience as a Counselor, Therapist, Social Worker, or Clinician preferred
  • Must currently, and in the future, be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Satisfactory pre-employment drug screen required
