About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise Pharmacy Technician staff
- Perform administrative functions supporting inventory maintenance, billing compliance, and purchasing
- Work as a staff-level Pharmacy Technician when needed
- Assign and reassign technician tasks to optimize team performance
- Monitor staff performance and document noteworthy instances
- Partner with management on formal performance reviews and corrective actions
- Oversee staff scheduling, time and travel reimbursement records, time reporting, time-off requests, and technician coverage
- Work scheduled Pharmacy Technician shifts and provide coverage when necessary
- Assist with training new technicians
- Interpret and analyze pharmacy reports for Pharmacy Management
- Assist with reconciliation of retail pharmacy claims and payments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed Michigan Pharmacy Technician
- Prior experience in a retail and/or infusion pharmacy
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred
- Oncology and management experience preferred
- Ability to manage Pharmacy Technician workloads and optimize team performance
- Experience monitoring and documenting staff performance
- Experience with staff scheduling, time reporting, time-off requests, and travel reimbursement
- Ability to assist in training new technicians and ensure policy and procedure compliance
- Ability to interpret and analyze detailed pharmacy reports
- Familiarity with NRx Retail Pharmacy System (QS/1), Oncology Supply’s Nucleus, and OncoEMR
- Ability to assist in reconciliation of retail pharmacy claims and payments
