About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver, execute, and manage capital and non-capital project-related estimates
Develop conceptual, authorization, and check authorization estimates throughout the project life cycle
Enable project teams to target competitive estimate and cost solutions
Provide critical input for project risk management
Support multiple teams and occasionally travel to multiple locations
Provide business-specific conceptual estimates for early investment options
Prepare all estimate types based on project progression
Ensure estimates meet industry-issued quality requirements for each project gate
Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes
Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation
Maintain estimating system cost libraries and historical data
Assist Risk Competency Leads and contribute to discussions on estimate impacts
Compile and distribute benchmark and metric data for capital and non-capital activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry
Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate
Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator
Experience in Aspen In Plant Cost estimator
Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours
Must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones
Must be able to commute to any Chemours facilities within the region as business needs require
Bachelor's degree preferred
10+ years of estimating experience preferred
Technical/Engineering background or experience preferred
5+ years of familiarity with estimating industry cost basis, Richardson, Aspen, RS Means, etc. preferred
Knowledge of @Risk Monte Carlo software preferred
Must be able to perform all duties with or without accommodation
