About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver, execute, and manage capital and non-capital project-related estimates
  • Develop conceptual, authorization, and check authorization estimates throughout the project life cycle
  • Enable project teams to target competitive estimate and cost solutions
  • Provide critical input for the project risk management process
  • Support multiple teams and occasionally travel to multiple locations
  • Provide business-specific conceptual estimates supporting early investment options
  • Prepare estimate types based on project progression
  • Ensure estimates are appropriately developed and meet industry-issued quality requirements at each project gate
  • Generate cost-reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency
  • Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation
  • Maintain estimating system cost libraries and historical data
  • Assist Risk Competency Leads and contribute to discussions on estimate impacts applicable to the risk process
  • Compile and distribute benchmark and metric data for capital and non-capital activities to gauge estimate performance and competitiveness and promote continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry
  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate
  • Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator
  • Experience in Aspen In Plant Cost estimator
  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of estimating experience preferred
  • Technical/Engineering background or experience preferred
  • 5+ years of familiarity with estimating industry cost basis, Richardson, Aspen, RS Means, etc. preferred
  • Knowledge of @Risk Monte Carlo software preferred
  • Candidates must be able to perform all duties listed with or without accommodation
