About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide real-time, practical legal advice to Chemours’ U.S. business clients in Wilmington and at manufacturing sites
- Coordinate with other in-house counsel on issues crossing subject matters or country borders
- Engage stakeholders including business and corporate clients, the internal remediation group, government affairs, regulatory agencies, and peers
- Handle environmental legal projects, administrative actions, and litigation
- Select and manage internal and external legal resources
- Develop strategies, define scope of work, set budgets, control costs, manage outside counsel, and meet deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Provide legal advice to U.S. clients located within the management of Chemours’ businesses in Wilmington or at manufacturing sites
- Experience and ability to advise on environmental legal projects, administrative actions, and litigation
- Ability to coordinate with in-house counsel across subject matters and country borders
- Ability to engage internal and external resources and manage legal work
- Ability to identify strategies, articulate scope of work, set budgets, control costs, manage outside counsel, and meet deadlines
