Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish comprehensive user acceptance testing and business integration testing strategies, including scope, objectives, methodologies, timelines, resources, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate business requirements into end-to-end testing scenarios and test cases
  • Lead complex UAT, integration, regression, release, and operational readiness testing across internal systems, vendor solutions, and external partner platforms
  • Provide strategic direction to testing resources and oversee accurate test execution
  • Lead test-effort estimation, workload prioritization, contingency planning, and impact analysis
  • Plan and coordinate test-data requirements and setup activities
  • Evaluate testing outcomes and provide recommendations on solution quality and operational readiness
  • Define automation strategy and prioritize opportunities to automate rate, benefit, and repeatable testing activities
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, execution, maintenance, and enhancement of automated UAT scripts and tools
  • Validate automated testing results, investigate exceptions, and manage issue resolution
  • Lead annual testing and quality validation for Individual Dental renewal communications
  • Coordinate renewal communications testing across business, technology, operations, and print-vendor partners
  • Conduct onsite audits at print-vendor locations before mailing
  • Establish and oversee defect-management practices, including documentation, severity assessment, prioritization, resolution, retesting, and closure
  • Analyze defects and testing results for root causes, dependencies, systemic issues, and business or customer impacts
  • Identify testing risks and develop mitigation or contingency plans
  • Provide executive-ready reporting on testing progress, defect trends, and resolution status
  • Provide testing leadership for annual Go-to-Market and Open Enrollment readiness activities
  • Assess testing completion, unresolved defects, dependencies, and implementation risks to support readiness decisions
  • Serve as a senior subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to business leaders, Product Owners, technology teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners
  • Develop testing strategies, standard operating procedures, process documentation, testing artifacts, and communications
  • Coach and guide testing resources on methodology, automation, defect management, documentation, and stakeholder communication
  • Promote scalable testing practices that improve operational effectiveness, solution quality, and customer experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Eight or more years of experience in healthcare operations, business integration testing, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, technology delivery, or a related discipline preferred
  • Significant experience developing and leading UAT strategies for complex, cross-functional business initiatives
  • Experience with Individual and Family Plans, Individual Dental, annual Go-to-Market, Open Enrollment, or renewal-related activities strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience identifying testing automation opportunities and leading the design, development, implementation, and execution of automated testing solutions
  • Experience with automated testing tools, scripting, data validation, and testing across multiple systems or external partner platforms preferred
  • Strong knowledge of UAT, integration, regression, release, end-to-end, and automated testing practices
  • Demonstrated experience leading testing resources and coordinating activities across business, technology, vendor, and offshore or distributed teams
  • Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, effort estimates, and contingency plans
  • Strong knowledge of defect management, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, impact analysis, and corrective-action validation
  • Experience testing and validating customer communications or other high-volume, customer-facing materials preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex initiatives, establish priorities, and deliver results against critical business timelines
  • Strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and ability to translate complex testing findings into clear business recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating risks, findings, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency with testing and work-management tools such as Jira, Rally, Application Lifecycle Management, Quality Center, or comparable platforms preferred
  • Knowledge of automation technologies and programming or scripting languages such as Selenium, Java, Python, XML, SQL, or comparable technologies preferred
  • If working at home occasionally or permanently, internet connection must be through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
