About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, carriers, and internal partners
- Serve as a resource on group health benefit plans, company procedures, and relevant changes
- Research and resolve client questions and service issues
- Coordinate timely follow-up across internal and external partners
- Support proposals and placement of new and renewal business
- Create reports, charts, and analyses explaining customer cost and claims experience
- Organize and facilitate customer meetings
- Support implementation of self-funded customers and approved plan design changes
- Coordinate rates, communications, and operational implementation tasks
- Respond to customized reporting requests and distribute accurate account information
- Coordinate customer communications and group mailings regarding plan changes, required notices, or new requirements
- Represent Allegiance professionally at customer sites and in presentations to new and existing customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of experience in group health insurance, account management, human resources, benefits administration, or a related client-facing role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and relationship-building capabilities
- Strong analytical, mathematical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, remain flexible under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, and related business applications
- Ability to read and interpret benefit plan documents, insurance agreements, regulations, and claims-related information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally with customers, brokers, carriers, and coworkers
- Ability to travel to customer sites
- Ability to obtain required Montana Life, Health, Credit Life, and Disability licenses
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare, or a related field preferred
- Completion of the AHIP Health Insurance Associate program preferred
- Working knowledge of self-funding, excess loss coverage, claims administration, and Life, AD&D, STD, and LTD insurance products preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience using claims-processing or reporting applications preferred
- If working from home, internet service must be cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
