About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle a high volume of inbound calls assisting patients with prescription medications
- Manage inbound and outbound communications with patients, physicians, and physician advocates professionally and within program guidelines
- Accurately enter eligibility paperwork, prescriptions, refills, and other information into the system
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation and system records of inquiries
- Enter and interpret program materials to determine enrollment criteria
- Explain program requirements to callers and employees
- Report allergy, adverse-event, or duplicate-therapy warnings to the appropriate group
- Place outbound calls to clarify issues involving program or pharmacy guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school degree or GED required
- Ability to obtain and retain Missouri state Pharmacy Technician License per Missouri state guidelines required
- 1+ years of experience in the medical field preferred
- 6+ months of experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy knowledge preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook & Word) and navigating various applications required
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule within operational hours of 7am–8pm CST Monday–Friday required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly, maintain accurate information, adapt in a fast-paced changing environment, and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Must live in Missouri within commuting distance of 70 & N. Hanley, St. Louis, MO
- Home internet connection must use cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload when working from home
