About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead review of reasonable accommodation requests under federal, state, and local requirements, including disability, pregnancy, and religious accommodations
  • Guide employees and leaders through the interactive process; assess requests, identify reasonable solutions, document decisions, and communicate outcomes
  • Partner with Legal and stakeholders on complex accommodation matters and emerging compliance risks
  • Review proposed contract language and recommend approval, revision, or rejection in alignment with Employee Relations policies and government contractor requirements
  • Support Department of Labor, client, and government audits by preparing data, explaining policies, and responding to information requests
  • Maintain Employee Relations policy and resource portals
  • Translate changing legal requirements into clear policies, processes, and communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, leave management, workplace accommodations, or a related field
  • Experience reviewing complex workplace accommodation requests and facilitating the interactive process
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws, including reasonable accommodation requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, mediate, and build practical solutions with managers, Legal, and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage deadlines, handle sensitive information, work independently, and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including pivot tables, charts, graphs, data formatting, and presentation development
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Experience drafting written accommodation determinations and reviewing contract language for policy or government contractor compliance (preferred)
  • Experience supporting employment compliance reporting, affirmative action planning, audits, or requests for proposal (preferred)
  • If working from home, cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
